This August enjoy a 2 night mid-week escape to our gorgeous yoga retreat in Oxfordshire. If you are looking to holiday in the UK this year you will love our Oxfordshire venue.

Situated alongside one of the Oxfordshire canal routes, Thrupp is a pretty and thriving hamlet, especially in summer when the canal-side comes alive. There are lots of walks either along the canal or in the surrounding woodlands, or hire a canoe or SUP down the canal and then enjoy an afternoon tea in the cute cafe opposite our venue.

With lots of space and reduced numbers on this yoga retreat in Oxfordshire, there is ample room to feel like you can relax at this time in your lives.

A large yoga space with wall to wall patio doors for light and ventilation, opt for indoor yoga or, weather permitting, enjoy yoga in the spacious and private walled garden.

Start the day with a silent walk along the canal, followed by energising morning yoga and then relax! Enjoy evening yoga at a slower pace and delicious organic vegan food.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: With the latest developments in the pandemic and lateral flow tests being available to everyone, we have decided to ask that everyone take 2 lateral flow tests prior to coming on retreat in the UK, so that if it comes back positive you have time to get a PCR test to confirm a positive test result. We ask for a negative PCR test for foreign holidays. That way we can attempt to create covid free retreats.

A twin/double room is for two people sharing either two single beds or a double bed.

Alicia Roscoe

Alicia originally trained in Ashtanga yoga and has subsequently studied with traditional Hatha yoga teachers as well as theming creative sequencing for vinyasa flow classes. Alicia loves to include philosophy, poetry, pranayama, and meditation in her classes and to bring lightness and playfulness wherever possible.

About the yoga

Morning Yoga
In these gently energising and strengthening classes, you can expect gentle flow sequences, breathwork, mantra and personal inspirations. The class will end with a deeply restful and soothing meditation and savasana.

Evening Yoga
Allow us to facilitate a deepening and lightening within you, melting away physical and mental tension. Enjoy a slower class in the evening, with aspects of yin, finishing off with an extended yoga nidra and savasana.

This summer we have reduced the group size so there is a lot of space in our light and breezy yoga shall and it is well ventilated with lots of patio doors to open straight into the shall. Weather permitting we will also be enjoying yoga outside in the private walled garden.

About the food

All of our retreat chefs are highly experienced and passionate about their craft. We have always been a vegan/vegetarian company! Expect delicious and creative brunch, lunch, and a 2-course evening meal. Each meal will be balanced to keep you energised all day.

Our food is now 100% organic and locally sourced and we and our chefs are working towards reducing plastic and waste as much as possible.

Autumn/ Winter retreats Come and stay with us near Bicester. A family owned manor house, it is surrounded by countryside with no neighbours all around. Relax at the retreat or explore the local area on foot and enjoy the views

Spring/Summer retreats Thrupp is a pretty canalside village located to the north of Kidlington on the Oxford Canal Our retreat here is situated right on the canal, so you can enjoy the relaxed bustling vibes of canal life. Take a stroll along the canal, walk into the woods, visit the tea room for a naughty snack or relax in our private walled garden.

Itinerary

The yoga retreat starts from 3pm on the Monday, which gives you time to settle in before the first yoga class starting at 5pm. Dinner is at 7pm and then the retreat follows the schedule opposite. Don’t worry if you arrive late on the Monday. We finish at 10am on the Wednesday after the morning yoga from 7am – 8.30am and brunch.
