If you are a lover of the great outdoors then this holiday is for you. Montenegro is a beautiful and yet still untouched country just outside Europe, bordering Coratia. It has everything you could dream of, mountains, lochs, sandy beaches, waterfalls and wild swimming areas. We have planned a week to showcase all that this untouched area of the world has to offer!

For your week long hiking yoga holiday adventure, you can expect a relaxed yet exhilarating itinerary, with breathtaking hikes, water sports, boat excursions, beautiful day trips and more, with 3 hours of yoga per day.

We are based in a beautifully renovated olive mill 10 minutes from the spectacular coast, a short walk from the traditional old town and with its cosy restaurants and shops, so if you choose to have a day to relax by yourself, this is fine, too!

We have reduced numbers to allow for space in the yoga shala and when travelling so that you can relax and enjoy your well deserved holiday.

Amy Williams

Amy’s style of teaching comes from a place of nurturing. She wants you to feel free to explore the capabilities of your own body, respect your boundaries and learn how to heal and protect it. By blending strong, grounded hatha practises with the freedom found in Scaravelli and vinyasa she believes that each practise can help create the perfect balance between flexibility and stability in both body and mind.

Claire Yates

Claires personal practice is Ashtanga, and she has studied both at the Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, and with Authorised Teachers of the lineage throughout Asia. After Mysore she went to work on a Yoga Retreat in Thailand, and another, a little closer to home in the Carpathian Mountains.

About the yoga

Claire will be teaching on the 12th September retreat, Amy will be teaching on the 19th and the 26th September retreats.

Morning Class
Our 1.5 hour morning classes are designed to help you awaken your body, focusing on energising and invigorating your body, ready for an exhilarating day exploring the stunning scenery.

Evening Class
After your day hiking, exploring or relaxing at the beach, return to the olive mill to unwind and relax tired bodies with a restorative evening yoga class. This gentle session will vary each evening and include pranayama and meditation to help the mind and body really let go and allow you to enter a state of deep relaxation.

Yoga will be held outside as much as possible and we have reduced numbers on this retreat to 10 to allow for space in the yoga shala. The yoga space is very well ventilated.

About the food

The food in Montenegro is special. Local, seasonal, and as fresh as it gets. We use a combination of the local market, bakeries, delis and small shops for our supplies. You can expect delicious salads with the most amazing tomatoes and olives, wholesome meals to nourish and fuel your adventures, and freshly baked bread. We even sample some local sweet treats (the Baklava is amazing!) for the perfect fix after hikes.

You will enjoy brunch and a two-course evening meal while lunch will be at ‘home’ in the garden or even as a ‘packed picnic’ to take on our adventures! Of course, everything is vegetarian or vegan.

We will cater for any dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.
