I want a retreat but I haven’t got any holiday days left- help!
Great! Join us on a 2 night retreat- the first yoga class is at 6pm on the Friday and they end on Sunday at 3pm. Transport yourself away from the hustle and bustle of your week and unwind on one of our shorter breaks
What is the difference between a Retreat and a Holiday?
The yoga holidays came first, due to our love of yoga and adventure. They are fun, high energy, healthy and leave you feeling invigorated in body and spirit. They are in beautiful places and the atmosphere on them is very friendly, laid back and you can get as involved in as much or as little activity as you want; after all it is your holiday!
Our yoga retreats & wellbeing weekends are designed to be more relaxing and less adrenalin fuelled. We started these as a way of offering our AdventureYogi guests the option to join us closer to home, but now we have guests join us from all over the world! They are a perfect quick fix and escape from your busy life and a time to reflect and bond. Although we do have Surfing and Yoga and Activities and Yoga that are action packed like the holidays.
- Our retreats are shorter
- Our holidays tend to be outside the UK
- We start the day with a silent walk on retreats but not on the holidays
- Retreats tend to be slower in pace
- Holidays always include adventure and optional action sports
- No alcohol is served on a retreat whereas it is on a holiday if desired
- Guests are encouraged to help in the kitchen if they would like to on a retreat, but not on a holiday.
- Guests are encouraged not to drink coffee over the weekend but you can on a holiday
- Whether you decide to come on a shorter retreat or a longer adventure, you will always leave feeling invigorated, relaxed and well looked after.

Can several offers be used to reduce the price of a retreat or holiday?
We can only apply one offer at a time, but the best offer can be applied to the cost of the retreat or holiday so you get the best discount.
I haven’t done much yoga before, can I come?
We have designed our weekends and weeks for people who love yoga, whether they are beginners or have been practising for years. All our teachers are very experienced and are more than capable of adapting the classes to all levels. Our ethos is about being open & friendly and we set up our business to spread the incredible word of yoga to people who perhaps wouldn’t have gone on a yoga retreat before. So don’t be shy, there is no time like the present to start your journey with yoga!
I am quite an experienced yogi, would I enjoy your retreats?
In a word yes! All our retreats and holidays are suitable for those who have done little or lots of yoga. The teachers are very experienced and ensure that every single person in the group has their needs and expectations met over the time they are with us. We also have our intermediate retreats especially for people who are seasoned yogis or have been practising for a few years and would like to advance their practice.
What is included in the price of a yoga holiday?
Our holidays are more specific with what the cost includes so please go to the specific holiday page of choice for more information on what’s included.

What time do I need to arrive on the wellbeing weekends/retreats?
Our weekends usually start at 4pm on Fridays. This gives you time to settle in to your room and have a stroll around the grounds before your first yoga class at 6pm.
What time does the retreat end?
Our 2 day retreats finish at 3pm on Sunday after you have had time to digest your lunch! Saturday follows the above schedule.
On a 3 day retreat, the finishing time is 12pm on Monday. With Saturday and Sunday following the above Schedule and Monday people start to gather their belongings and leave after brunch, from 11.30am onwards.
Do I need Insurance?
We have our own public liability insurance and all our yoga teachers are fully covered to teach you, as do all our massage therapists and practitioners. We require you to take out your own insurance when you join us on our holidays in case you have an accident whilst away with us. Whether skiing or surfing, it’s best to be protected. We suggest trying Insure and Go for competitive prices. If you are intending on taking part in one of the extreme sports, please make sure your insurance covers this.

- A good inspirational book
- A journal to process and write down your thoughts
- Refillable water bottle when you’re on our active retreats
- Appropriate clothing for the country/weather. On a UK retreat it’s nice to bring slippers and comfy clothes to potter about in! We give full advice on what to pack in our welcome letter for other retreats and holidays
- A few changes of yoga wear – our retreats offer yoga classes at least twice a day (mornings and evenings).
- Good walking shoes for hikes or general traveling about. And sandals for beach destinations.
- Ear plugs
- A blanket or shawl for Savasana
I’m coming alone, is this ok?
Yes! We really hope you do decide to join us. We have a mix of people who decide to come with friends and those who would like to travel alone. Remember if you are deciding to join us alone, then there is a likelihood that there are other like-minded people who will be feeling the same! We always recommend sharing a twin room- it might sound intimidating but it’s an amazing way to feel a sense of community and sharing, and there are always lots of spaces to relax and unwind if you do need to escape a bit. If you do feel that you want to have your own room then there are reasonable single supplement options!
What’s a typical group like?
Ah this is a difficult one! We love that people of all walks of life join us on our retreats, so it is hard to sum up a typical group. However, there are a few things that unite all of our groups: they tend to be made up of friendly, like-minded people, single travellers, couples, friends and groups, people are respectful of each other and people are looking to relax, unwind and have fun in a safe, welcoming setting.
How many people do you have in a group?
We run such a range of retreats in different venues, but it starts at about 8, and can go up to about 24. We have been doing this a while so have learnt a really good balance, and the groups always feel intimate, with enough staff to make sure you are well looked after.
I have specific dietary requirements, can I still come?
Yes- our wonderful vitality chefs can cater to any dietary requirement. We are vegetarian/vegan on our retreats and holidays. However when you go out for group meals on our holidays, some people do choose fish and meat options.
What if I have to cancel?
We really hope you don’t! But if you do we have a very strict cancellation policy- unfortunately we are a very small company and cancellations can really affect us. See more, here
Can I stay another night?
The best thing to do if you want to extend your stay is get in contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Are men welcome?!
We get asked this all the time, and of course, the answer is yes. We know that our website features a lot of women but we do have men join us on most of our retreats and holidays. We promise you are very welcome.
What type of yoga do you teach?
For more information on the type of yoga we will be teaching, please visit the specific retreat page.
How do I get to your retreats and holidays by public transport?
We make sure that all of our retreats are accessible by public transport by recommending train times that if you stick to, we can organise a group taxi share from the station to the venue. This saves money and is obviously better for the environment. Our holidays sometimes include transfers, sometimes it is an additional cost, but you can rest assured that we always make sure you are looked after travelling to and from the venue.
